We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Server to join our vibrant dining team. Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Use Toast POS systems to process orders, payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through suggestive selling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation protocols.
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, maintaining a tidy dining area, and assisting with food preparation or kitchen support as needed.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns quickly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast & experience with OpenTable.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving, bussing, and assisting colleagues.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations for bills or tips.
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving, host/hostess duties, or food preparation enhances your candidacy.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
